Road running shoes are made with highly shock-absorbent materials, and are suitable for running on hard surfaces. There are essentially three different kinds: neutral, stability and motion-control.
Neutral Shoes are well cushioned and flexible, designed for the person whose foot remains upright as they move through the stride.
Stability Shoes control over-pronation which is when the foot collapses inwards during running; the inside of the shoe is made of a denser material to hold the foot straight as you go forward.
Motion Control shoes are for the severe over-pronator: someone who needs maximum stability from a shoe.
Each of our shops offers a comprehensive fitting service, based on years of experience and extensive product knowledge, which is free of charge when purchasing shoes. So, if you’re not sure whether to choose “neutral” or “motion control”, come and see us and benefit from our expertise.
